SEVENTEEN’s ‘THUNDER’ Reigns on Melon Top 100
SEVENTEEN’s latest title track ‘THUNDER’ from their 5th full album ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ has soared to No. 1 on the Melon ‘Top 100’ chart just hours after release. The group’s rapid climb demonstrates their strong presence in the K-pop scene.
Not only did ‘THUNDER’ make an impressive debut, but six tracks from the album entered the Top 10, with all solo songs ranking within the Top 30. On Genie Music and Bugs, every track from ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ also charted prominently.

‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ achieved over 2.26 million copies sold on its first day, topping the Hanteo chart. Internationally, SEVENTEEN claimed No. 1 on iTunes ‘Top Albums’ in 15 regions and reached No. 1 on the ‘Worldwide iTunes Albums’ chart. ‘THUNDER’ also dominated iTunes ‘Top Songs’ in 13 regions and ranked 7th worldwide.
The music video for ‘THUNDER’ quickly climbed to No. 2 on YouTube’s trending music videos in Korea and trended in countries such as Canada, the UK, and the US.
