Hyungwon to Host ASEA 2025 in Japan
Hyungwon of MONSTA X has been selected as the MC for the second day of the Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025 (ASEA 2025), set for May 29 at K Arena Yokohama, Japan.
This marks Hyungwon’s first major hosting role at an awards show, coming just after his discharge from the military on May 13 and coinciding with MONSTA X’s 10th anniversary.
Hyungwon’s Versatile Career
Debuting with MONSTA X in 2015, Hyungwon has excelled as a performer, producer, DJ, and MC. He previously formed the unit ‘Shownu X Hyungwon’ and impressed fans with his work as a radio DJ and TV host, including stints on ‘Idol Radio’ and ‘Inkigayo’.
Anticipation for ASEA 2025
Expressing his excitement, Hyungwon shared, “It’s an honor to greet everyone at my first official event after returning. I’m a bit nervous to MC alone, but I’ll do my best to make it a memorable show.”
Fans can also look forward to MONSTA X’s upcoming full-group concert, ‘CONNECT X’, from July 18–20 at Seoul Olympic Park KSPO Dome.
