Hyungwon Completes Military Service
On May 13, Hyungwon from MONSTA X was officially discharged after 18 months of military service. The discharge took place in Gyeonggi Province, where Hyungwon warmly greeted fans waiting to celebrate his return.
Double Celebration for MONSTA X and Fans
This milestone comes just one day before MONSTA X’s 10th debut anniversary, making the occasion even more meaningful for both Hyungwon and MONBEBE (the group’s fandom). Hyungwon expressed deep gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much to the fans who waited 1 year and 6 months. I’ll show you many new sides of me from now on, so please look forward to it.”
Exciting Plans Ahead
Hyungwon shared that he’s been working hard during his service and teased that the group will prepare exciting activities as a full team. His first official schedule post-discharge is a fan event, ‘Wonder Garden,’ exclusively for MONBEBE 8th generation members, set for May 17 in Seoul. Admission is free for fans who supported him during his enlistment.
With Hyungwon’s return, MONSTA X is ready to reconnect with fans and embark on new group activities in 2025 and beyond.
