Melon Music Wave has officially surpassed 100 artist-fan chat events, solidifying its role as a key K-pop community hub.
On June 26, Melon announced that the milestone was reached during a chat event with boy group KickFlip, marking 100 interactive sessions since the platform’s launch in December 2023 with ATEEZ.
Music Wave lets fans and artists listen to music together and chat in real time, fostering deeper connections. The service supports non-stop music playback and vibrant fan interactions without the need for individual song selection.
Over 1.43 million users have joined these events, generating nearly 7 million chat messages and over 33 million music streams. Notably, groups like BOYNEXTDOOR and PLAVE have set participation records, drawing tens of thousands of fans during single events.
According to Melon, Music Wave not only enhances artist-fan engagement but also contributes to chart rankings, making it a favorite among K-pop supporters. As more stars join the platform for album releases and special occasions, Music Wave continues to shape the future of fan communication in K-pop.
