On May 21, representatives for both the singer IU and actor Lee Jong Suk stated, “The two are still happily together,” ending speculation about their relationship.
Rumors Sparked by IU’s Dinner With BTS’s V
Breakup rumors began circulating after IU was photographed dining with BTS member V and chef An Sung Jae at the restaurant Mosu a day before IU’s birthday. Online communities questioned why IU spent her birthday with V instead of Lee Jong Suk and noted that IU’s social media birthday posts only featured friends like Kang Han Na and Lee Joo Young, with no sign of Lee Jong Suk.
The Real Reason Behind the Gathering
It was clarified that the dinner was a friendly get-together for those involved with IU’s 2023 music video “Love Wins All,” in which V also participated. V appeared without a mask or hat, openly joining the group. Lee Jong Suk, meanwhile, recently attended IU’s concert in March, further confirming their ongoing relationship.
