ILLIT will make history as the first K-pop girl group to perform at the prestigious Rock in Japan Festival 2025. The event is set for September 13-15 and 20-21 at Chiba Soga Sports Park, with ILLIT taking the stage on September 14.
Celebrating its 26th anniversary, Rock in Japan Festival is among Japan’s top four rock events, attracting over 275,000 fans last year. While previous Korean acts like CNBLUE and ENHYPEN have performed, ILLIT is the first girl group invited without an official Japanese album release.
Since debuting in March 2023 with “Magnetic,” ILLIT has dominated Japanese charts and short-form platforms. The group has earned major accolades, including the 66th Japan Record Award for Best New Artist and three wins at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards.
Their Japanese original song “Almond Chocolate” became a movie theme and soared into Oricon’s weekly top 10 streaming charts, setting a record for K-pop girl groups in 2024.
Fans can also look forward to ILLIT’s first Japanese fan concerts, 2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN, in Yokohama (August 10-11) and Osaka (September 3-4), following their Seoul fan concert on July 7-8.
With their festival debut and ongoing successes, ILLIT continues to break new ground on the global stage.
