Hanchang has officially acquired all shares of leading entertainment agency Beat Interactive, integrating it as a subsidiary to boost its presence in the global K-culture industry.
Strategic Acquisition for K-Content Expansion
On May 30, Hanchang announced it will purchase 200,000 shares (100%) of Beat Interactive, with the acquisition set to finalize on June 9. This move allows Hanchang to leverage Beat Interactive’s strengths in music and audio content, supporting its larger ambitions in K-pop, K-beauty, and K-food sectors.
Spotlight on Beat Interactive Artists
Beat Interactive manages artists such as Son Ho-young, Forestella, and the rising boy group Newbeat, who recently gained attention at KCON JAPAN 2025. CEO Kim Hyeim will remain in her role and continue strengthening the company’s content production capabilities.
Global K-Culture Ambitions
Hanchang has prepared for global growth, notably appointing guitarist Kim Se-hwang as head of entertainment. Kim’s international experience, including leading Fifty Fifty’s US expansion, positions Hanchang to innovate at the intersection of culture and technology.
The acquisition combines Hanchang’s business and financial resources with Beat Interactive’s creative assets, aiming to create sustainable and innovative K-culture ventures worldwide.
CEO Lee Dong-woo reaffirmed, “Despite uncertainties in global trade, K-culture’s influence remains strong. We will continue to lead as a global K-culture company across music, video, beauty, and food.”
